ABOUT OUR TILES
... Everything you need to know about tiles ...
FULL BODIED PORCELAIN TILE
Complete composition of the tile is natural clay. This allows for a higher level of slip, impact and abrasion resistance. The colour is created through the combination of different natural clays and pigments and is carried through the thickness of the tile. Most suited to high traffic commercial areas.

GLAZED PORCELAIN TILE
Composed of clay, however the colour and finish of the tile is applied as a glaze through natural colour or digital printing. The glaze creates a non-porous surface, which also aids in stain resistance. Suitable for both wall and floor application, and also available in an external finish allowing for greater slip resistance. Product can be installed in both residential and commercial applications – from bathrooms to alfresco areas.
CERAMIC TILE
Similar to Porcelain tile, ceramic tiles follow the same process in manufacture, however not as dense. Colour and finish is applied through the glaze. Ensure when choosing ceramic tiles that the product is suitable for your required application; some are only suitable for wall installation as they are not dense enough for foot traffic. This has been clearly outlined within the ranges of the catalogue.

RECTIFIED EDGE
All tiles are precisely cut to identical size and near straight sharp edges allowing for reduced grout lines/joints. This is the preferred aesthetic when looking to create a more seamless look, however it requires more attention when laying.
PRESSED EDGE
The tiles have a cushioned edge as they are cut using a standard pressing process. Due to this they must be installed with appropriate grout joint as there may be some variation in tile size. Bold edge tiles are slightly easier to lay as it does not involve the same level of accuracy required when laying a rectified edge.
